Samsung is somewhat following the footstep of Apple by swapping the microUSB port with USB-C which supports digital audio. So, no more 3.5mm audio jack. This is one the most powerful graphics chip in the market which is paired with 4K making VR more real. It will come with 6 GB of RAM although many devices are available with 8GB of RAM yet, according to sources,Samsunghas said it is introducing a new set of DRAM which is better equipped to deal with mobile VR.
The Galaxy S8 will come running on Android 7.1 nougat with the TouchWiz UI and Samsung’s usual customizations. Samsung also confirmed that it would integrate Viv’s artificial intelligence assistant in Galaxy smartphones and expand voice –assistant services to home appliances and wearable technology devices. There has been arumour to suggest that the company is working on a new ½.3 –inch sensor that will be combined with a f/1.4 aperture. This would deliver even better low light capabilities than the current flagship phone but whether it will appear in the Galaxy S8 is unclear yet. According to sources, the company is trying to deliver a 1/1.7 –inch sensor eventually, suggesting that company is determined to provide the best camera in this segment.
Audio and sensors:
According to some news,Samsung is trying to acquire car audio maker Harman. The brand is known for its Harman Kardon audio label which can enhance its sound quality. The phone is expected to have various sensors like Iris scanner which will enhance its security feature given the importance of the security of the personal data nowadays, fingerprint (front-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2.
One of most important features offered by the device is its connectivity. SamsungGalaxy S8 is 4G unable and provides WLAN connectivity asWi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, LE, aptX. GPS features like A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS. Considering the problem of battery catching fire in Note 7 models according to some sources, the company is trying to utilize the supply from LG Chem for its Galaxy S8 model. The data on the capacity of the battery is unavailable right now. Looking at the capacity of the company, one is assured that the issue ossf the battery must have been resolved. But it is likely that company has significantly reduced the time of charging with its wire charging technology.
